I Went to the Farmers Market and Couldn’t Say Hi — And That’s Okay

You know what’s funny? I’ve built this blog to help people explore Virginia Beach, to push past comfort zones, to show up fully for life.
And this weekend, I couldn’t say hi to a single vendor at the farmers market — even the ones who follow me and have shared my posts.

I walked past them like a stranger.
And then I walked to my car, holding my local coffee and farm-fresh bread…feeling like a fraud.

But I’m not quitting.
This is me, building something anyway.

This isn’t a perfect blog. It’s not always sunny-side-up wellness and curated vibes.
Sometimes it’s crying in your car with a lavender latte.
Sometimes it’s circling the block twice before walking into a new business — or not walking in at all.

Sometimes it’s needing to visit a place three times just to figure out how to tell the story.
And sometimes it’s standing in front of a mirror-coated window anxious about not knowing what to expect when you walk inside.

If you’ve ever felt like the hardest part of trying something new is starting, I see you.
If you’ve ever felt small in the places you want to feel most connected — I get it.
And if you’ve ever needed someone to say, “You’re still allowed to try again,” this is it.

I’m not a polished influencer. I don’t want to be.
I want to be a real person creating a real community for people like me — people who want to explore, feel good, and find home in new places… even when it’s hard.

This is my post for today.
Not what I planned. But maybe exactly what needed to be said.I’m still here. And I hope you are too.
